Kevin Snyder oversees the organization of mission trips, getting together a team, travel and accommodations, distribution of funds & supplies. A special Sunday is designated "Overflow" Sunday in which all monies given that day are used to support our missions
An in-house program to serve both men & women inmates in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Presented in a correspondence format, to teach about God, Jesus, and God's Word. Letters of encouragement & comments are included with each lesson.
Meet once a week to send Birthday & Anniversary cards to Southside members as was as Get Well cards & notes of love & encouragement.
Tuesday Night Nursing Home Singers
This group functions under the direction of Lawrence Waggoner. They meet at area Nursing Homes from 6:00-6:30pm to sing hymns to the residents.
Tuesday's Ladies Bible Class
Meets every Tuesday morning at 10am during the school year to have a bible study. The ladies rotate providing refreshments.
Young at Heart
Jimmy and Brenda Moss organize a monthly meeting of members age 50 & above, typically the third Friday of the month. They meet at 6pm in the Wilds Fellowship Hall. Meal arrangements vary but a sign-up sheet is provided in the information hallway to determine what the meal will be and how many will be attending. Light activities or entertainment conclude the meeting.
Widows & Widowers
Typically have a potluck meal & fellowship every first Sunday of the month, after worship, in the Wild's Fellowship Hall. They may vary meeting times & locations during the holiday season.
Wednesday Night Meals
A meal is provided at 5:30pm in the Wilds Fellowship Hall for the convenience of those attending Wednesday night bible classes at Southside. Facilitated by Grant Fowler, volunteers set up and prepare the meal and various Life Groups rotate serving & cleaning up.
Tuesday Night Bibles & Basketball
Facilitated by Derek Brautnick, all men are invited to meet at 6:45pm in the Family Life Center to have a brief study & devotional and then play some basketball.
Southside Family Service Partnership
Coordinated by Sharon Koch, this ministry is to connect those members needing help with a household repair or project to members who may possess the skills to help.
In the event of a funeral, this committee organized a meal for the family before or after the memorial service or if a Southside family should need food taken to their home due to illness.
Sisters in Action - Community Lunch
Most every Thursday, a lunch is prepared & served in our Fellowship Hall for anyone who wants to come and delivered to members confined at home. It is served to many community people who may be in need of food. Personal care items and paper products are also distributed. This ministry helps in other specific areas as they are made aware of a need.
Volunteers make & serve coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino and serve donuts to members and guests before services and between class & worship. They also serve as the clean up crew.
Yearly Summer Bible School designed to have our members invite their friends & the community to participate in a fun & educational study of a bible topic, with entertainment, crafts, & service projects & refreshments. Find more information about FX by clicking HERE!
Encourages fellowship by offering smaller groups that meet in various homes or at the building in a more intimate setting where members can grow closer & get better acquainted. Please contact us if you would like more information.
Men to Serve - Coordinates all functions that create an orderly worship service. Men serving include: Ushers, Greeters, Prayers, Communion Leaders, and Attendance Counters.
